The CDMX Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the found skeletal remains belong to Jael Monserrat, who went missing in 2020. New searches will be conducted and support will be provided to the family.

The Attorney General's Office of Justice of Mexico City, through its head, Bertha Alcalde Luján, informed the victim's family about the results of the analyzes conducted. The skeletal remains were found during a search led by the victim's mother, with the support of family collectives, the CDMX Search Commission, and an expert team from FGJCDMX.

After the recovery and packaging of the remains, a genetic confrontation was conducted with relatives of the missing young woman, confirming the relationship of kinship. It was agreed to initiate a new search soon, making the necessary preparations for it, as well as conducting additional forensic analyses to strengthen the investigation.

A commitment was established for joint work between family members, the Attorney General's Office, the local Search Commission, and other involved institutions. Once the search is concluded, a dignified handover of the found remains will be carried out, while the General Coordination of Victim Care will provide the required psychological support.

The Miguel Agustín Pro Juárez Human Rights Center expressed its support for the searching mother, Jaqueline Palmeros, highlighting her work and courage. The forensic studies conducted by FGJCDMX confirmed that the skeletal remains found in November 2024 in Ajusco, Tlalpan, belong to Jael Monserrat, who went missing in July 2020, confirming her death.

The Center joined the mother's demands for truth and justice, highlighting the importance of her resilience and love in the search for her missing daughter.
